At least this dog doesn't bark177 viewsA "sculpture" of a bull terrier made from chicken wire that's then been painted white. At one time we had this down in the flower beds (instead of standing on our well), but it scared our dogs and our doggie guests. They didn't like a dog lurking in the bushes -- particularly one that looks like white chicken wire.

Hobart taro peeler510 viewsWhenever I see or even think of this taro peeler, I can't help but remember Francisco hunched over it with the taro. He'd open the little hatch door on the side, and filthy water loaded with bits of taro and dirt would go flying all over the ladies in the peeling room. This would happen dozens of times each day, but the ladies never seemed to mind.

Sunapee Harbor - New Hampshire4069 viewsWe took the dogs for a Memorial Day drive. In the middle of the countryside we saw a small sign pointing to Sunapee Harbor. Although miles from the sea, we found this lovely "seaside" New England harbor, complete with a seafood restaurant on the water. Gorgeous.May 28, 2012
